I received a call this morning telling me that new SMS clients were not receiving packages at 2 sites that report to the SMS primary server. Anytime you have errors on multiple workstations at multiple sites, I always look to the server for the problem. MP Troubleshooter gave MP errors so I looked at the mpcontrol.log file and this is the error it had.

I did some searching on the Internet and a few sites had some ideas, but Richard had the shortest and best solution. I installed MDAC 2.8 and restarted the SMS Agent Host and everything began to function again. You can verify that it works if you see the following line in the mpcontrol.log file.

Funny, never did find this solution on Mr. Hands site.. LOL
